It doesn’t mean all that much unless they win another World Series but the Phillies are going to end the 2010 MLB season today with the best record in baseball for the first time in history. That’s over 1 1/4 centuries. That’s a lot. With all the stuff they’ve had to overcome this season, from the injuries to the slumps, it’s incredible how it’s come to this. The best record in baseball, another NL East crown, a 21 game winner and probable Cy Young winner and home field advantage throughout the playoffs. It all starts in Philly on Wednesday night with Doc going up against… well we don’t know yet but it should sure be exciting once again. Here’s to H2O and the Phillies sluggers tearing through the playoffs. I want to spend another day at work hungover watching a parade. It was the best day of work ever.
