Kicking and Screaming

No Idea / Sunday, May 15th, 2005

Some might say that Kicking and Screaming is simply a movie about soccer. I would have to disagree. Kicking and Screaming is more than that. Kicking and Screaming is a metaphor about the love between a father and a son. And then his son. And also his step brother who is the same age as his son and I guess is his son’s uncle which turns out to be pretty comical in the end. And who knew Coach Ditka was in this movie? And not just in it, he was IN it. This movie was good, but it was certainly not a Will Ferrell comedy. But I guess what is a Will Ferrell comedy? This must be it. I guess this is what we can come to expect from his upcoming leads. He won’t be doing anymore A Night at the Roxbury’s and I guess he won’t be doing any Billy Madison type movies. He’s going the Eddie Murphy route, probably minus the action movies, which is alright. Just so long as he stays funny. Cause he is. He has his niche and he does follow it tightly in almost every movie. It’s semi predictable, but it’s still funny at the same time. Oh, and kids getting hit in the heads and nuts with soccer balls is funny.

I’m currently watching: San Fransisco Giants at Houston Astros
