I also saw War of the Worlds on Sunday. This movie was also what I expected. With Spielberg and Cruise, it’s hard to be a bad movie. I still couldn’t get Cruise being such a dumbass lately out of my head though. They say there’s no such thing as bad publicity, but Cruise pretty much found a way to make bad publicity. I was definitely gonna see this movie when I saw the first previews, but Tom Cruise being such a dumbass actually made me think about skipping it. And that girl. I know it was her role, but I wanted to kick her in the head. And you know she’s probably just that bratty in real life anyway, so a good kick in the head is probably warranted. But the movie was a good ride. From the beginning to the end, I was hooked. It’s just a good story. Not too fond of the ending which I won’t spoil for those of you who haven’t seen it, but you’ll probably get my drift after you see it. I probably could have waited to see this movie on DVD, but I’m not pissed I went. Tom Cruise just pisses me off anymore. It’s all I can think about when I see him. I don’t know if I can fully respect anything he does ever again. I hope this doesn’t ruin Top Gun for me. If it does, I’m gonna be pissed.
