Yesterday I went to Taylor which is about a 20 minute drive from inner city San Diego. I toured the factory and realized that I really want my Taylor. Now I just gotta go buy it this month. But now there’s no doubt. The factory was neat. Except for the one sign that said something about California law and having to tell us that there are chemicals in the air that are known to cause cancer. Coulda probably done without that. But I don’t work there, I just play the guitar. Still, I think they should really do something about that.
After the factory, we headed back to the zoo. We were only supposed to be there for like an hour, but we ended up being there for almost 3 more hours. We had to redo a few sections because these stupid animals do nothing but sleep. But it was all worth it because I saw a baby lynx hunt a bird and a mouse. He wasn’t too good at it though. He stalked it pretty good but he wasn’t decisive enough. I think he wanted to catch both. He should definitely keep practicing. Then we hit the polar bears again and they were actually not hidden. After that we found a whole new section of the zoo we didn’t realize was there. And then we hit the last stuff we missed yesterday. 3 hours. Wow. That means I spent like 13 hours in the zoo over 2 days. And it was glorious.
After that, we headed to Coronado Island which I had no say in. Didn’t want to go there. It seemed like it was a vacation resort for the really rich people. Kinda like a Cape May or a Stone Harbor. I was just so exhausted because I have still not caught up to my lack of sleep after my grave shift on Thursday night and then we have been walking around for like 12 hours a day.
Today I’m heading to the Wild Animal Park and then I’ll be heading back home. Hopefully I’ll be home by 8 or 9 tonight so I can get to sleep for day shift tomorrow. Booooooooooo.
