Honeymoon in Hawaii

Vacation / Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

So I’m back. Been back since Saturday. The trip was great. It’s just so disappointing that it’s all over. The wedding, the honeymoon. All done. You plan for over a year and everything’s done so fast. The last 3 weeks flew by so incredibly fast. And what’s worse is that time felt like it was moving pretty slow. Now that I’m back, the last few days have gone by at warp speed. I guess this is it. Fly through life with no way to slow it down. Unless I can figure out a way to permanently go on vacation to Hawaii. Time there just moves at a beautiful pace.

So yeah, Kauai was great. I had Internet the whole time down there so I should have done this as it was going on but I didn’t. Deal with it. Re..gard…less… We got there real early Saturday the 19th and didn’t do much. Just really checked into the Sheraton. We were exhausted from the red eye as well as going back 3 hours. So for like the first 3 nights we crashed by 9PM. Sunday we spent hours and hours traveling through Waimea Canyon which is like a mini green Grand Canyon. Monday morning was our helicopter flight around the island. I have a DVD if anyone’s interested in watching. Riiiiiight. Monday night was also the Sheraton luau. The food was outstanding. Didn’t try the poi though so don’t ask. There was too much other good stuff to eat rather than waste space on what looked terrible. Tuesday we saw more naturey stuff. Wednesday we moved to the north side of the island. It was pretty different up there. More relaxing which unfortunately seemed to make time move faster. We saw most of the north sights (there aren’t that many) and then it was pretty much time to come home. Very depressing. Then I won’t even get involved with Sunday when we tried to see Batman and failed. I’m ending this post now before I even start talking about going back to work on Monday and hating life again. Can’t wait for the weekend.

I’m currently watching: Everybody Loves Raymond
