Well, well, well, bye weeks… so we meet again. And this year you’re not messing around. You take a QB, WR, K and Def. from me right off the bat and after I already had an injured WR and then all coming after I had to take out the trash last week? This week wasn’t looking good. Couldn’t wait to start Kyle Orton. Oh yes, that’s always something to look forward to. But Kyle’s not the problem here, he somehow managed to come through because of 1 huge TD pass. My problem was having to make my first crappy decision that we all knew just wouldn’t come through. I picked up Nate Burleson earlier in the week but by Saturday night I strongly talked myself into using Santana Moss. I woke up early on Sunday morning and if Santana Moss hadn’t been picked up by anyone, I’d make my move. I wake up and some freakin how I talk myself into just sticking with my original gut feeling. I figured that the Seahawks would surely be playing from behind so they’ll have to throw all day. Burleson’s just gonna get more looks and catches and in turn produce the coveted WR TD. Then there’s Moss who’s really only ever good for 3 or so catches. I took the odds. The odds were not in my favor. Moss had like 2 catches for 70 yards and a TD. Burleson had 4/31/0. It was only a loss of ~8 points but those missed calls are always painful. And in the end everything worked out and the week was fine. Man, these posts are tough to write when almost everything goes right. One final tough bye week coming up next week, then it’s hopefully smooth sailing the rest of the way out.
