The Eagles season just ended after losing a crappy one to the Green Bay Packers. This makes it two 1st round playoff exits in a row for the birds. This one wasn’t nearly as bad as last year’s loss despite the fact that we lost mostly due to two missed field goals from David Green Akers. I can’t be too upset though as I didn’t think we had much of a chance going into the game. The Eagles defense had not been playing very well and the Packers offense has been tremendous of late. 2 missed field goals though is a pretty crappy way to lose a ballgame. Philadelphia fans mustn’t fret though. Wake up Monday morning and take solace in the fact that the Eagles should have been no better than 8-8 this season yet somehow managed to take the NFC East and keep the Giants out of the playoffs. They did it with some tremendous victories including the Miracle at the New Meadowlands which nobody will ever forget. It was our 2nd Christmas present that week.
April 2nd. That’s the day after Roy Halladay pitches and the day before Roy Oswalt pitches. It’s the day Clifton Phifer Lee steps on the mound for the eventual 2011 World Series Champion Phillies. One season may be over but this year has only begun.
