And the Eagles make 6.

It’s just miraculous. All I wanted today was to keep the Cowboys out of the playoffs. Who knew that the Oakland Raiders would come through and knock out the Bucs, the Houston Texans would come back from being down early in their game to knock off the Bears and the Eagles would HULK smash their way past the Cowgirls by the largest margin of victory ever in an Eagles/Cowboys game. We found out right before the game that this one was going to be a playoff game but who knew it’d be like this.

The whole defense just played phenomenal. After practically 2 years, the ball finally started bouncing our way on fumbles and we had 2 huge defensive touchdowns off forced fumbles. Dawkins played out of his mind in what he knew could have been his last game in Eagles green. That’s definitely on hold now.

And then the Eagles stepped up on another area that has been a weakness for us. 3 red zone touchdowns including goal line touchdowns. Amazing. Over the last 5 games, the Eagles have held their opponent to an average of 12 points. Except for last week’s game in Washington, the offense has been looking good. Hopefully I can say this team is turning it on at the right time.

I didn’t want to twitter during the game as I didn’t want to jinx anything but I figured with a comfortable 40 point lead, I may be alright. Besides, who can pass up twittering about Tony Romo burying his tears in the dirt after one of his many pitiful turnovers. TO of course chipped in with his normal dropped passes and towards the end of the game it was lovely seeing him and Roy E. Williams sitting silent at opposite ends of a clear bench with no one else in sight. They pan up to one of the boxes and Jerry Jones was just stunned and picking his teeth. And what was even better? We didn’t have to see Wade Phillips jumping his fat ass up and down like a moron.

Another good point of the game? I actually got to say that the Cowboys needed 6 touchdowns and they would still only be up by 1 point. HA! I wonder if I could get away with not shaving throughout the playoffs? I enjoyed having matching scruff with the rest of the Eagles.

A point of the game that needs to be addressed? At 7:15 left in the 4th quarter, Highway 74 and Kevin Kolb entered the game. Andy… you know as well as I know that they are not the future of this offense.

Re-gard-less. Happy holidays Eagles fans. We head to Minnesota next week. Hopefully Jimmy Johnson can conjure up something special for Tavaris Jackson and we can get Purple Jesus to put the ball on the ground. It won’t be easy, I’d much rather be going to Arizona, but it’s definitely doable. We’re as hot as any team in the league right now and, hey, we’re in the playoffs… anything can happen. Let’s do this. E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!
