Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan

So on Friday I wasn’t feeling too good so drinking was out. Instead I went to see Borat. Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan. Well let’s just say, holy crap, I can’t believe what I saw. Well actually I can believe some of it because I saw quite a bit of previews, but I still cannot believe what I was watching. I haven’t laughed that hard in a movie since I saw a guy get hit in the face with a wrench and then a man get hit by a car. It was foul, disgusting, funny, hilarious, and the debate over whether it’s PG-13 or R is now over. NC 17 might be more like it. I found this quote online, and I quote,

“…showing male nudity in a way that has never been previously done in a main stream 20th Century Fox Film.”

It was horribly hilarious from beginning to end. From the subtle undertones of antisemitism?… to the whole lot of shocking moments, the movie is… well as a comedy, it’s brilliant. The movie pokes as much fun at Americans throughout the movie as it does Kazakhstanians. Although I’m going to completely believe that that’s how people in Kazakhstan are because what I see in movies are true. And I think he made up all the personalities of the Americans. Except those southerners. Those people are crazy. See the movie. It’s hysterical.
