When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

So when in the Wild, Wild, West, do as the westerners do. I just went horseback riding for the first time ever. It hurts. Not pleasant one bit. My coccyx is feeling a tad under the weather, even hours later, and when I got off the thing my whole lower regions were in pain from my back down to my toes. I felt like I rolled my both ankles. I think my stirrups weren’t set right or something. We rode in pitch black for over an hour, and me and my horse, Copenhagen, became as one. Seriously. I think I felt my legs fusing on to his sides. That’s what the pain felt like. And let me tell you, it didn’t help my already pulled groin one bit. But it was fun. The horse listened to me, or he at least made me feel like he was listening to me. I don’t really think he gave to craps what I was telling him to do. He just kept doing his thing. I liked it though. Under the stars and it was nice and cold. Being all bundled up in the middle of the desert. Then afterwards we get some nice hot chili and cookies, hot chocolate and get to toast marshmallows even though I was too full for any. I think I’d do it again. And if not, there’s always just the wagon ride like we did 2 years ago. As long as I had some extra padded underwear on or something I don’t see why I could ride the horse again. Well that and having my stirrups set to the right height. But this was a different change of pace; something out of the ordinary and enjoyable
