iPod

While I was in Philadelphia, I finished fixing my MP3s. It was quite an accomplishment and my music is awesome to look at as well as listen to now. After I finished, I deleted all my music from my Creative Zen Xtra and went to put all the fixed stuff on. However, my MP3 player didn’t like the massive change and went and died on me. I spent 2 days trying to fix it and figure out what was wrong, but I’m guessing the hard drive just went. The player is way out of warranty, so I really don’t think there’s anything I can do. As I might have previously posted, I was already in the market for a new MP3 player anyway, I just had my sights set on a blue 6GB iPod mini. Now it looks like I’m gonna have to go for the 30GB iPod Photo to replace my busted 30GB Zen Xtra. I had some quarrels with iTunes so I really wanted an iRiver, however it only comes in 20GB or 40GB models. 20GB just wouldn’t cut it as even after I did remove some MP3s from my collection, I still have 27GB worth of stuff that I want to have around all the time, and the 40GB model is just way too expensive. But wait… there’s more! I was playing around in iTunes and I figured out how to fix my beef with the program. So now we get along really well and I think I’m heading to Best Buy today to pick up the iPod. The iPod is also ridiculously expensive at $350.00, but I gave myself $500 spending money on my vacation, and spent less than $100. I think I’ll be alright. I may just go ahead and get the Best Buy extended warranty this time so that I’m covered for 3 years, because the Zen Extra only lasted me a year and a half. That’ll be another $50.00 tacked on. Add $40 for the iTrip which will remove all wires from my car playing experience (the main reason I want the iPod), and either $20-$30 for a case or a stand for my car, and I’m spending serious bank on this thing. It’s making me sick just thinking about it. I may never build my new computer.
