Wonderful Night’s Sleep

So why did I sleep for 15.5 hours on Saturday? It’s because of days like today when I only slept for about 3 hours. I finally got to bed just after 6:30PM PT/9:30PM ET/4:30AM BT. Going to bed at 4:30AM and waking up at 7:30ish AM to get to work by 9AM is not good. Hmm, this is going to get confusing for all of you. Fuck BT for good. All hours from here on out will be on standard good old PT. So I went to bed at 6:30PM and woke up at 9:30ish PM. I was awoken at 9:30 but fell back asleep until 9:53 when I woke up with my normal yelling of naughty words and was out the door by 10:20. I made it to work by 10:45. Back to the point. When you sleep for 3 hours, it’s gonna catch up with you. Now I don’t normally sleep for 3 hours; I get 6 on most nights. Some of you will say that it’s because I sleep 15.5 hours that I get 3 hours of sleep, but this is a chicken and egg thing, and you’re wrong. I haven’t slept more than 7 hours a night on a weekend since I started working I think, and on most of “my” Friday nights, I get 3. However, I still can’t sleep during the week. I need to change shifts soon. Something tells me though, that I’ll be switching to days either the week before, or after my birthday. That will suck if it’s before, because that will mean I’ll work on my birthday, but hey, at least I’ll get a decent night’s sleep. Decent meaning 6 hours. And still don’t call me from 4PM-12AM ET until further notice. I may not sleep, but I sure try to.
