Dear graduates December 2004 and on,

No Idea / Monday, November 29th, 2004

Life is too short. You’ve all heard it before a million times. What you haven’t heard however is that after graduation, life is over. That quickly. Well I guess not that quickly. Once you… Nevermind, I won’t get into the technicalities. What are these technicalities you don’t dare speak of? I said I’m not getting into them. So you graduate and you have your whole life ahead of you. A whole life of waking up, going to work, coming home and catching some TV and going back to bed. What do you have in between? By doing the math,

8 hours of work +
8 hours of sleep +
1 hour of travel to and from work +
1 hour getting ready for work = 18 hours

you would probably say there are about 6 hours or so of free time in a day. Sure, keep telling yourself that. I’ll leave it to you to try and find them, because they do not exist. See, once you graduate, there are only about 20 hours in a day. That 24 hour thing only applies to people in school. So with that in mind, that’ll leave you about 2 hours of free time, and what the hell can you do in 2 hours? So have fun, cause I’m tired of writing this post. It’s gone on long enough. Bold and italics and equations… I’m spent. All I can say is start planning your 2 hours now or else it’s immensity will overwhelm you. Hah. I crack myself up.
