I went to see The Girl Next Door last night. It was sort of a last minute decision, but it was a good one. It wasn’t a great movie. It had a lot of slow boring parts and some utterly bad parts, but it had a lot of good moments too, and Elisha Cuthbert is friggin amazing. And Elisha Cuthbert is friggin amazing. Did I stutter? I’m telling you, the story wasn’t the greatest. It had a lot of holes, yet the acting seemed pretty good from the 3 main characters and it was able to fix it for the most part once you got involved in the story. Maybe Elisha was able to lull me into some little trap, or maybe she can act somewhat. I don’t know, but It was a pretty funny movie with a lot of humor that I guess just doesn’t get old as… well… I do. In the end though, it was just another teen movie, but entertaining all the same. I think the stuff that I thought was utterly bad wouldn’t have been if I was still in high school, but I guess that’s just going to be the story of my life from this point on. However, when you got a movie about the porn industry, starring Elisha Cuthbert who is, if I haven’t said it already, friggin amazing, it’s kinda hard for it to be all that bad.
Which brings me to my next point. Do not watch teen movies for the next few months. When you’re graduating in 28 days, and you’re already feeling down, do not watch “teen high school graduation remembering the good times” movies. They are another downer compounded on all of the other miserable aspects of your current state of affairs.
