How does a 1 in 4 chance of a 30m asteroid hitting Earth end up being a 500m asteroid that misses Earth by 12 million km? What are these scientists doing? Are they looking into space with a pair of Bushnell binoculars? I think I had a telescope when I was 10 that could have made a better prediction than that. What are all those super high powered telescopes doing? I think the astronomers are just using them to peek into the windows of girls across town.

I don’t care if I see this movie or not. I’d prefer if I didn’t waste my money on it, but damn… look at that movie poster. I’m gonna just put it up for the hell of it. And it’s so big because I don’t have photoshop to shrink it down.
Honest.

So the bus driver today was changing the cd in his cd player while he was driving the bus. I know that’s always safe when you’re driving down Curtain with students constantly jaywalking in front of you. He was only like a block away from the library stop too, and he couldn’t wait. So he ended running over some girl and squishing her. Because he’s a big bus and she’s a little girl. Well that last part didn’t exactly happen, but the rest did. About the bus driver changing the cd while driving? Yeah, that part. So here comes the moral to this story. After I’m done playing basketball… I need to shower.

It’s things like this that really truely bring you back. Oh, and playing Duck Hunt. Now if I can only get a shot at landing the plane in Top Gun. I know I can do it. I know I can.

Here’s an interesting thought brought up by one of my group members. Instead of having every THON member bitch and moan about lessening the workload and having days off, how about moving THON to Spring Break, or just before Spring Break. This way they can either donate some of their Spring Break to the Kids, or they can get well rested and catch up on sleep during their Spring Break. I think that would be a lot better than me having to do extra work because they are too tired after staying up all weekend. They knew what they were getting themselves into. They shouldn’t be bitching about it. So move THON ’05 to Spring Break ’05. Then we’ll really know who’s doing it “For the Kids”.

I just this was pretty funny. Funny enough to share.
“Excuse me, can you help me?
I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don’t know where I am.”
The woman below replied, “You’re in a hot air balloon hovering approximately 30 feet above the ground. You’re between 40 and 41 degrees north latitude and between 59 and 60 degrees west longitude.”
“You must be in Information Technology,” said the balloonist.
“I am,” replied the woman, “How did you know?”
“Well,” answered the balloonist, “everything you told me is, technically correct, but I’ve no idea what to make of your information, and the fact is I’m still lost. Frankly, you’ve not been much help at all. If anything, you’ve delayed my trip.”
The woman below responded, “You must be in Management.”
“I am,” replied the balloonist, “but how did you know?”
“Well,” said the woman, “you don’t know where you are or where you’re going. You have risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise, which you’ve no idea how to keep, and you expect people beneath you to solve your problems. The fact is you are in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but now, somehow, it’s my fault.”
