Big Mac

There’s nothing like coming home from work at 8AM and turning on TV Land to find MacGyver. Well maybe there are some things. Ok, a lot of things. But it’s good nonetheless.

I hate Cox

So I’ve been trying to set up my website the last week so that I’d be hosting it on my server and then I’d eventually get www.terententen.com and all would be well. It would save me money from paying someone to host the page for me, and would only cost me like $9 a year for the domain name registration. That would be ideal and is what I had been planning to do over the last few months. Well now I’m getting screwed by Cox… with no lube. They apparently block all of you from accessing port 80 (you should all be really angry), which is necessary for me to host my site. Therefore I’m left with either having the port redirected for free and having some crappy domain name (i.e. terententen.no-ip.com), or having the port redirected and getting terententen.com for about $32 a year. Now that’s not a lot of money by any means, but it’s the principle of the matter. Talk about feeling violated.

Still tryin

Ok, so I’ve started thinking about making a new rap album a little. I don’t know why. Anyway, I wanted to know who would be in and if there would be any stipulations. I wasn’t thinking about rushing this project. This way everyone could take their time, write their material, fix their material, completely scrap their material, rewrite their material, lay their stuff down, again and again and again. Stuff like that. Oh, and of course there’d be the obvious location differences, but Shyne was able to record parts of his album from prison… over the phone. It can be done. I don’t know, it was just a thought that I figured I’d lay out there. Some things that just popped into my head would be:

  • No solo songs. Let’s try for an actual group album.
  • Point out weak lyrics. Things can always be better.
  • Try to create our own beats from scratch, from sampling or both.
  • Maybe try to be a little experimental and incorporate other types of music.

I don’t know. I’m sure other things’ll pop up if anyone’s interested. So think about it. Don’t get back to me today. We got time. Oh, and try to make sure you’d be fully into the project. That’d be key.

Anyway, I’m beat. 4AM and time for bed. Until Friday morning when I won’t be going to bed until about 8AM. Yeah, that won’t be rough.

Work late

After work viewsSo I had my first almost really late shift tonight from 4-12. It wasn’t bad. It went pretty quick even if it was much slower than the day shift. When things did happen however, they all managed to happen at the same time, but I guess that’s always to be expected. I didn’t get to watch the Eagles tonight, I only caught the last 5 minutes, but they won, so that really made the last 3 hours of my shift fly by. And as I left at midnight, I couldn’t complain about the views. Including the really hot chick who walked in front of my car as I waited at a light on Las Vegas Blvd. I miss John’s like mad, but Vegas does have its perks.

I don’t have to go to bed early tonight. I love that. In fact, Kristin just pointed out that I shoulda actually TRY to stay up later. Sweet.

Driver’s License

I just got my license. I very well damn should have since I’ve driven like 1,000 miles in the last 3 weeks. Hell, we got gas 3 times last week alone. Driving back and forth to the strip for a week helped a lot too. The hardest part was reverting back to the book driving from my new found Las Vegas racing. But it’s done now. Now I can drive myself to work instead of having Kristin come down with me, then drive home, then drive back to get me at the end of the day. Good thing too since I have my new hours starting this week. This week I’ll only be working 2 grave shifts, so it wouldn’t be bad, but by next week I’ll be doing nothing but grave shifts. 11-7. Fun!
