I’m currently watching: The Naked News

I saw the Village tonight and it was good. I don’t like scary movies at all and this one wasn’t that scary. It did have its scary moments though, and I did not like them. No I didn’t. But I guess Shamalayayayayan’s movies are his movies cause they have scary parts. I don’t care too much for them. The movie was pretty predictable when it shouldn’t have, but there were some suprises, including the twist at the end that I did not see coming and found very enjoyable. This movie was not that scary however it has made me realize that I should not see scary movies anymore. Those creatures were freakin scary. Damn. I think I’ll stick to comedies, and leave the scary movies for the TV… with the lights on.

So it’s finally in motion. We got our plane tickets tonight to leave on August 23rd at 8:55PM. We’ll be Las Vegas citizens at approximately 11:30PM on August 23rd. That’ll be 2:30 for you east coast folks. I thought it took 6 months to become an official citizen? Dammit, that’s not the point. The point is, with a memory as bad as mine, it won’t take me long to forget about everyone left here. So you all better savor the time you have left with me in the same time zone. It’s running out.

Seems like I just said goodbye to college, and I’m already saying goodbye to high school. Wait a minute, that doesn’t sound right. It seems backwards. Anyway, I just threw away all my notebooks from high school. In it were countless hand written English papers on some fun literature, tons of psychology notes and quizes and hilarious trigonometry exams including a 40 in which I got 7 out of 10 answers completely wrong, and only partial credit on the other 3. Fun times. Oh well high school, have fun.

Now her video is on MTV2. She’s wearing a shirt that says punk, conveniently in pink lettering, while singing the most cliche lyrical pop music. Hey girl… putting a band behind pop music does not make you punk. It makes you fake and look like you’re trying to hard. Now if you want real, go out an buy Monstaz Inc. & The 1501 Family – Turning A Prophet. A limited number of copies still remain. It’s the realest bunch of ghetto beats and rhymes available today that are laid down by a white jew and a spic from suburban New Jersey. Now that’s what I’m talking about! I got copies or at least a copy headed halfway across the globe. Some people know real talent.

Why the HELL does Ashlee Simpson have her own show? What is this? I’ve seen this girl around, and I haven’t seen one bit of talent extrude from her body. I mean her voice is terrible, she can’t sing, her music sucks and to top it off, she’s not even as close to the hotness of her sister… man, at least 2 cup sizes. It’s like Jessica got all the femininity and Ashlee got the lankiness. I mean the only thing she’s good at is complaining and being jealous of her sister. Why doen’t she just quit before she can be forgotten. I guess she’s just soooooooo punk that she doesn’t care what other people think about her. HANG IT UP!!! You’re not punk in cute little pink dresses and nice ass cars. You’re punk when you drive a 1978 Ford Fiesta with rusted off paint and your life wasn’t handed to you because your sister is friggin hot and actually has some semblance of a voice. Go back home, go back to school, go to college, join a sorority, let drunk guys bang you and pretend they’re banging your sister and do music a favor and leave. Maybe you’ll be a trendsetter and all the other worthless musicians will go with you. Then maybe you’ll have done something on your own that your sister hasn’t already done. As for me… I gotta go study, and pretend I’m banging you while thinking about your sister. And I think that’s it. Yungmid & Huggybear!!! Po’… But Tryin!!! Buy the record due out August 12th. Hah, yeah right.

So I didn’t work on any part of the CD today. It kinda felt good not to worry about it for a little bit. Instead I played a couple hours of Smackdown with Rob. Looking back, we probably should have utilized the time a little better and actually got some stuff done, but there’ll be other days… only about 15, but what the hell.

It’s been so long since I taught all these Asian kids how to do all this awesome stuff with a yoyo, I doubt I could even do it anymore. But at least this yoyo video will let me enjoy the good old days. Some of these kids might even be as good as I was when I did my thing. And if you don’t like the Yo-Yo’ing… at least the music’s good. Boy if you could see my eyes after I just made that statement.

What I’m listening to: Silence

I think today is the first day that I was finally able to get a good reading on the album. With the 5 songs I’m envisioning right now, it should be no less than 20 minutes. But then I think Mike may have a couple solo songs he’ll put on there that may lenghthen it. That’s still up in the air. As for quality, I was doubting it until we finished the first song, State of the Union, the other day. That song is crazy good. That song alone would bring the whole album together if needed, but I don’t think it will as the other songs, at least my stuff (the only stuff I know), is pretty good. I hope. Boooo, you suck. Geez, rough crowd.
