Encore Update

I’m changing my stance on Encore. After a few listens, I was able to almost completely tune out the vulgar sounds and only listen to the music. I like it now. But now that I think about it, I didn’t like the Eminem Show on the first listen, because it was in fact different than the MM LP. And I’m pretty sure Eminem went and changed a lot of the album after it leaked over a year ago. There are 19 songs on the album, and it’s not like the Beatles where every song on every album is gonna be great; there’s always gonna be a crappy track or 2. Man, I wish I had Dre making me beats. I’d be awesome.

Alright Brett, stop crying.

I just made my first of many payments on my school loans. They say 180 months, but I say 60 months. Something about paying off the loan in 2019 doesn’t sit too well in my stomach. Anyway, goodbye money. It was nice seeing you in my account for that brief while.

I put a down payment on the car today for them to order it. He said midway through December. Until then, me and the Kia are gonna have a few more good times. Oh Kia Sephia… I hardly knew you.

Oh, and Mean Girls was definitely worth watching for the amount of eye candy in the film alone. And I even laughed a few times. Oh, and people get hit by buses. That’s always a plus.

Eminem – Encore

I’ve listened to Encore a couple of times now and it’s definitely no Marshall Mathers LP, it’s no Eminem Show, but it’s an alright album. It just seems to lack the energy and emotion that the previous albums had. There are some good songs on here, and some really good songs on here, but not every song is great like on MM LP. I guess you can’t nail it everytime, but this album is more comparable to the Slim Shady LP in terms of quality. Eminem seems too busy making fart noises and other sounds on this album instead of taking shots at people and laying into them with the emotion we’re used to. I thought his songs were maturing as he was, but I guess we’ll have to see what happens in ’06-’07. I’m gonna go keep listening and let the other songs grow on me as I did for the Eminem Show. Sweet! It’s almost time for dinner 2.

And an hour later I still haven’t eaten because a backup bombed. Now I think I can finally go to dinner 2. May as well be breakfast now. Wasn’t that your intention now? Please don’t ask me questions how the backup bombed it wasn’t my mal.

I like naps.

One reason why graveyard is great, is the fact that when you sleep, it’s like you’re taking a nap. One giant nap. And who doesn’t like a nap? I mean here it is 1:00 and I’m about to go to sleep. But no… I won’t wake up in 2 hours like most naps last. I’ll wake up in like 6 or 7. Now that’s a great nap if you ask me. But isn’t any sleep like that? No, ass. Not every sleep is like that. Because most people are sleeping while… I don’t have to justify my comments on my own site.

I bought Encore a few hours ago. I haven’t listened to it yet; I suppose I’ll listen to it like 4 times at work or something like that. I got it at Best Buy. On their website it says it’s $9.99, at the store it’s $14.99. On the website at their store, it’s $14.99. However, Target is selling it for $9.99, so I had them match their price, and I got $6 back after my purchase. I decided not to get the Collectors Edition that I was planning on for the last few weeks because I couldn’t justify spending $10 extra for some special packaging and pictures of Eminem. I got the music which is all that I care about. Anyway, then I went on my merry way to the bank. They approved me for the loan that I will need to go buy my car, or at least order it, tomorrow. That’s a good thing. And I don’t even have to put down quite as much money as I was planning on.

Oh, now it’s time for my nap. If I can sleep wondering if Encore will live up to it’s predecessors and thinking about driving a car other than a Kia Sephia. And tinkering around with The Facebook. I made some groups for the greatest rap bands ever. Eminem could join if he wanted. I think I’d let him in.

The Facebook

I’ve seen a few people start popping up with this, but I finally joined The Facebook today. It’s like Classmates.com, but free-er and I guess much cooler. I feel not cool for saying that. Oh well. Go join it. It’s free.

I wonder if there’s a psychological explanation for why time moves faster as we get older. If there’s not, I think someone should try to figure it out. That’s just what I think. Someone should do it. Doooo it. Hell, I think I should get a Nobel Prize or whatever the hell award you get for psychology just for bringing it up. It could change the world. It might not be like a cure for cancer, but if something could be done to change a person’s state of mind, maybe people with cancer could even seem to live longer. Anyway, this could be huge. Huge. Doooo it. Doooo it.

Eminem’s album comes out today. I gotta get to Best Buy and pick it up before all the Special Editions dissappear.

Car buying sucks.

It’s been a big weekend, and probably a bigger week. I’ve been working on a stupid project for work a good deal of it. I don’t even know if I’ll make any more money for doing this job, but I know work’s getting a pretty good deal. Aside from the project, I went out Saturday to test drive some cars. Well I didn’t go out to test drive them, I just went out to check out the lot, however I ended up testing a tC and a Corolla. I liked the way both cars drove, but I think I’m gonna go with the Scion. I don’t know why. I figure two people graduated and went with the Corollas and two people can graduate and go with the Scions. Makes sense? Not really, but I think I’d be happy with either car, just a little happier with the Scion. The guy yesterday was trying to dick me around, but I wasn’t interested in buying a car yesterday. Poor fellow wasted his time and mine. Anyway, I went to another Toyota/Scion dealership today when no one would be there so I could check out the lot without being dicked around by a dealer, and I actually bumped into a dealer. It was good though. So I think I’ll be going on Tuesday to drop a payment on the car. I should have the car in 4-8 weeks; just in time for Christmas, or Chanukah if it comes early. A couple years ago, I bought myself a Wingman gamepad for Christmas. This year I’m gonna have to break every Jewish bone in my body to pull the trigger on this present.

American Idiot rings true apparently.

I can honestly say that I am embarrassed to be an American today. I just don’t understand how a man can lose an election in 2000 but somehow win the presidency, then have the worst presidential term in office ever for the American people, and come back 4 years later with more votes than he got when he lost but won. The whole thing just sounds stupid because it is. It used to be that only George Bush appeared stupid in the eyes of the rest of the world. It is now 51% of the people in this country who tomorrow morning will look like morons in the eyes of the rest of the world. It is a really sad time for this country and it should definitely be enough to make all of us question what kind of country we live in. I heard too many people say that they were voting for Bush because they don’t trust John Kerry. However, to continue on a downward spiral because you are too scared of what could change for better or for worse sounds too much like a loser mentality that has now been stamped on all of us. Because of 51% of the American people, we are all losers for only a small percentage of the American people had anything to gain from Bush’s re-election. From TerenTenTen news, this is Brett… signing off.
