Yesterday at work, we were installing a server at Fiesta Henderson and while I was unpacking the hardware, I came across tons of bubblewrap. I quickly threw it on the floor so that I could finish my job… I’m there for working, not playing of course. However, after we were done, I ended up accidently stepping on a numerous amount of bubbles. Man was that fun. Of course I couldn’t stand there in the hallway looking like a fool jumping on bubblewrap, so I had to walk away like a man. Thanks to the Internet though, I can relieve my latest experience as well as my childhood all over again. You can experience it in all of its majesty too. Have fun. This could be the best way to spend 146 seconds ever.

Guess what I’m doing. I’m installing Red Hat. Finally I will have my Linux box. I’ll report back later on how things are going.

Today was a nice sports news day. Not necessarily a good sports day, because the Phillies dropped their 2nd in a row, but we still got stuff coming from all sides. In baseball, I read this interesting article on my old boy Junior. I think it would be awesome if Griffey went back to Seattle. The article makes a lot of sense, and man, Griffey was just so much cooler in a Mariner’s jersey. Heck, I might just have to like Seattle again.
Then in basketball news, a major trade is about to happen between the Sixers, the Knicks, the Bucks, and the Hawks. It would be great for the Sixers. We’d get rid of the Van Horn cancer, and get the Big Dog, Glenn Robinson. His size may be just what we need.

Anyone want to set up a home development server? I know I do. This tutorial can be just the trick for all of us. Good luck.

What I’m listening to right now: Howard Stern

Spiderman 2 is on it’s way, and Doc Ock just looks awesome. Yet one more thing to look forward to. It’s only a year away. Yep, July 2004. By time that date gets here, I’ll have graduated and be working every day for the rest of my life. Take your time Spiderman. I’ll wait.

Get a load of this:

  1. Go to Google
  2. type in (but don’t hit return): “weapons of mass destruction”
  3. Hit the “I’m feeling lucky” button
  4. Read up

You better do it quick before they get rid of it.

Just some thoughts:

  • That new Arby’s oven mitt commercial where Oven Mitt realizes he doesn’t have a nose or ears is awesome. It’s up there with the Michelin commercial where the guy is shaking the bobbing head doll.
  • Banzai could be the worst show ever created. I’m turning it off now.

I think the redesign is all up and running now. However, if you do find something that isn’t working, or something you’d like me to change, just leave me a comment, and I’ll see what I can do.

The debauchery also known as Las Vegas has reached a new low. For a mere $10,000, anyone can now hunt women for sport. A new game called “Hunting for Bambi” allows anyone with loads of cash and a demented fetish for shooting women with paintballs to do just that. You can choose which kind of women you want to hunt; from fat chicks, to really hot chicks, to just plain girls next door. It’s amazing what kind of stuff people think to do when they just have too much money. Why they’re allowed to have that much money just eats me up inside. Some sick executive bastard gets to shoot women for practically the price of a year of school, while I’m going to have thousands of dollars of loan debt, and can’t even afford to build a new computer.

Finding NemoI saw Finding Nemo last night. It was alright. The animation was incredible, but I found the plot to be a little tiring. Even though the movie was only an hour and 41 minutes, something made me feel that it should have been about an hour and a half. It could have been because I saw an early show to save a few bucks and there were too many kids everywhere making noise. The girl in front of me kept reaching back, and some little boy kept running behind Kristin and hitting her in the head with his Nemo poster. I did enjoy the movie for the most part however, and it had some really good parts. The scene with Crush and the sea turtles was probably my favorite because Crush was just a cool character. I guess I’m partial to turtles. And then, like I already said, the animation was stunning. Most of the time I forgot I was watching animated fish, and just became engulfed in a story with talking sea creatures. Then, when they finally showed Sydney, I was amazed. It all just looked real. Pixar, like their other movies, did a great job with this movie. I mean, just look at the whale. Amazing!
