That wasn’t enough… I need more… More Matrix trailer.

And why do they put it during Friends? Oh yeah, I guess all the dorky guys who watch the Matrix all watch Friends. Hey, I’m not saying anything. D’oh!

One Cool ElephantApparently yesterday, 9/22, was Elephant Appreciation Day. I feel bad I missed it, because elephants are cool. But don’t worry if you forgot about it also; you can still learn some pretty cool facts at PETA’s page.

Bart: Wow! I wish I had an Elephant!
Lisa: You did, his name was Stampy, you loved him
Bart: Oh yeah

I was taking a look at ESPN and the disguisting numbers the Eagles have put up so far this season. So far, McNabb is 37 for 82 for a whole 334 yards. Then you look at our top two rushers, and guess who’s not on there… either of our two running backs. What’s up with that? McNabb is our #1 rusher and James Freakin Thrash is our #2? And he only has 47 yards. This is after two games folks. So you’re telling me that neither of our 2 real rushers in Staley and Buckhalter have more than 47 yards in 2 games. No wonder we’ve only scored 10 big time points. Well at least Staley is our #2 receiver. Where are you now Pinkston?

What I’m listening to right now: Bob Marley – Songs of Freedom Disc 3 – Is This Love

“How many of you people feel like human beings tonight?…
How many of you feel like animals?
And everyone cheered after the animals part. But the thing is, I cheered after the human being part because I did not know that there was a second part to the question.”
-Mitch Hedberg

TownFair 1501 was a mighty good show. The keg was cold, the jungle juice was apparently potent, the music sure was on fire, and the place was packed. We’ll have to do it again some time.

You say
I only hear what I want to
And you say
I talk so all the time -so
And I thought what I felt was simple
And I thought that I don’t belong
And now that I am leaving
Now I know that I did something wrong cause I missed you
Yeah , I missed you

What I’m listening to right now: Destiny ‘s Child Feat. Wyclef Jean – No No No No

A Perfect Circle - Thirteenth StepAlright. Let’s get this over with. I like it.

It being Thirteenth Step. Now I’m not the best music critic ever, I just know what I like. I’m partway through my 4th listen as we speak, and it keeps getting better as I listen to every nuance of each song. I keep listening to it again, because each time, I’m sad to hear it end. I didn’t really like it completely when I finshed it the first time, but then everything started to grow on me. I’m not usually a listen once and like it right away kind of guy anyway. It took me quite a bit to understand Mer de Noms, but after that it opened up a whole new world to me. Anyway, at first listen, I kind of only liked a few songs. Most of it seemed very musically geared. You can hear the similarities to Mer de Noms, but at the same time it’s not the same album. And the songs are quality, not Mer de Noms B sides. Maynard’s lyrics seem more like Tool lyrics compared to Mer de Noms lyrics, but we’ve only had one Perfect Circle album before this, so what really are Perfect Circle lyrics? They’re good, that’s what. That’s what we expect from Maynard though. I didn’t listen to the lyrics til the 2nd pass of the album, but they’re good. And I’ll leave you with that. They’re good.

They being A Perfect Circle

What I’m listening to right now: A Perfect Circle – Thirteenth Step – The Outsider

A lot has happened since we last spoke almost a week ago. Last Thursday was the 2 year anniversary of 9/11, and it’s pretty hard to believe that it has been 2 years already. Then on top of my hangover, we all woke up Friday morning to some pretty terrible news. The “Man in Black”, Johnny Cash, who had been sick for some time, passed away at the age of 71. Then to make matters worse, John Ritter shockingly passed away, way too early only a week before his 55th birthday. This just goes to show us that you never know.

Later Friday afternoon, my father, Tim, Christian and I departed for Pittsburgh. My father and I stayed at the Hilton which was practically on the waterfront across the river from Heinz Field and PNC Park. We walked around Pittsburgh Friday and Saturday, ate at Primanti Bros., and saw the Phillies/Pirates game Saturday night. They lost of course, because when it really matters, Philadelphia teams always lose. To top it off, the Marlins destroyed the Braves to widen their wild card lead. So much for the playoffs again this year. After the game, we left Pittsburgh and made it back to State College by 2AM.

Sunday was another disappointing sports day. The Eagles, the team that has went to the NFC Championship for the past 2 years… the team that has played like veterans and showed up every Sunday to win a ballgame… lost again. They played like little kids. Last week they lost on blown chances, however yesterday they just got spanked. Maybe it’s injuries to the defense that gave up so many points, maybe McNabb has to realize why he’s making so much damn money and bring his A game every week, or maybe the team just has to start playing like a… well team, but things just aren’t going the way they’re supposed to. I’m just hoping this isn’t a year like the Rams had last year. Andy Reid had better use this bye week and figure out a game plan for the Bills, because if anyone can score points, they can.

Now my post is over, and we are all caught up. I’ll leave you with the happy news that I found my remote last night. And we all rejoice!

What I’m listening to right now: Nine Inch Nails – The Downward Spiral – A Warm Place

Nip/Tuck is a good show. It has the ability to make me feel so bad about myself constantly, but so good about myself all the time. Watching that show makes me so happy that my life isn’t as screwed up as Christian and Sean’s. However, watching Christian each episode makes me feel like crap. Damn Kimber. Anyway, after-Nip/Tuck-pong is always good also. I was on top of my game which is somewhere I haven’t been in a while. Not that you can be on top of your game more than once. Can you? I guess you can be better each time. But tonight I was en fuego.

I miss my remote.

Yeah, so nothing good came from tonight. It felt like the NFC Championship game all over again, only this time we couldn’t even score a point. The void that used to be Hugh Douglas seemed quite apparent as Johnson wasn’t sacked once tonight, and I can barely even recall him getting hit. Maybe Hugh was too small, and fell apart by the end of the year, but what good is it if we can’t even get there. Douglas and Trotter sound much better than tons of cap room right now. It just seems that the Superbowl is going to go through the NFC again this year, but you can never really know this early in the season. All I know is that the Eagles beat the Bucs twice in a row convincingly, then lost twice in a row convincingly, and this game was much different if L.J. Smith made that crucial TD catch early in the game. If things stick to pattern, maybe things won’t be so bad in January if it even comes to that. I have too much stuff jumbled in my head right now to think straight, so I think I’ll quit analyzing this game so much, and go to bed. I just hope Andy Reid doesn’t go to bed tonight. He has to stay up all night and kick himself for getting outcoached tonight. I wonder what he’d do for Jerome Brown and Reggie White right now. Dude, I’m seriously. But hey, there’s still a whole season left. And if I recall, we lost to a much worse Titans team last year in week 1, a Titans team that went on to lose 4 in row. I don’t foresee the Bucs doing that. There’s still plenty of hope. McNabb won’t be contained again.

One of those chicks on ESPN to Andy Roddick:

“Most 21 year olds are heading back to school right now. You’ve just won a Grand Slam, got paid a million dollars, and hugged Mandy Moore. How good is your life right now?”

Thank you Andy Roddick for putting my life into perspective for me. Thanks a lot.
