I was walking around upstairs and almost bumped into Fat Joe. He didn’t have much of an entourage. I first noticed this pretty decent looking chick of course, then this really huge black dude and then Fat Joe. So I says to Joe, I says to him, “Hey Joe, check this out.” Then all of a sudden on the huge house system comes on Monstaz Inc. – Hell To Pay. And I was all like, “Yeah, you’re feelin’ this shit aren’t you?”, and he was like “Yeah, definitely”. And I was like “Sweet!”, and he was like “How’d you like to be on my next album?”. And I was like “Shit! Hell yeah.”, but then I had to get back to work. So this didn’t really happen, but he was upstairs with a huge black dude, and a chick who I was too scared too look at because she was with a huge black dude and Fat Joe who is also much larger than I. Now I gotta study.

I got paid last night. 6.25 hours of OT pay came to a nice check. It’s all gone. Plus $100. I think this is the first time that my whole check was gone by time I got it. I wish I made $4,200 a month like Ricky Williams’s kid did. Then I’d still have a crazy amount of money left. It leaves a sick feeling in your stomach. Or maybe that’s hunger. I better go eat something.

So I’m eating lunch and watching CNN and I see that Kelsey Grammer is set to be Beast in X-Men 3, due out in May 2006. At first it struck me as odd, but when you think about it, he’s the perfect guy for the role. I was just blown away to hear good news about X3 because it’s been fairly quiet, and then what you do hear isn’t usually good. I read something like the guy who played Cyclops has a schedule conflict so they don’t think he’ll be back. After 2 movies, it’s too late to change Cyclops, and even though I hate him, he has to be in it. But Grammer as Beast is gonna be awesome. I can just hear him now. I just don’t know if Grammer at 50 years old is gonna be able to pull off the stunt work that’ll be involved. Beast is a pretty agile animal. I doubt Grammer has that much action experience after all his years of drinking beers and helping people on the radio. I sure as hell hope he can pull it off though. I can’t believe Fantastic 4 isn’t out yet.

I just read that Ricky Williams is going to have to pay $4,200 a month in child support. $4,200 A MONTH! That’s over $50,000 a year. WTF does a kid need $50,000 a year for? I could certainly use it, but what does a judge think a kid needs that for? He has no bills, no daily expenses, no mortgage and I doubt he’s planning for retirement. The kid also gets a $300,000 trust fund. So now the kid is gonna get a new pair of $140 sneakers for school, say my daddy Ricky Williams bought them for me because he doesn’t love me, and his mama is gonna get knocked up by another guy and have enough money left over to pay for their drinking and drug habit that if she doesn’t already have now, will start because she’s gonna have an extra $50,000 and I’m sure she’s hood rich and is gonna stay that way. Hey, well at least she can retire from her job at the beauty shop now. Sounds like a good deal to me.

I just looked through the 6500+ songs I have on my iPod and selected the my favorites. The list came down to 128 songs. 128 songs I can call my favorites; each given 5 stars. Some are favorites by artists, some are favorites by mood, some I probably just wanted to listen to at the moment, but most are simply my favorite songs ever. I bet you’re all dying to know what’s in there. Yeah, there are some questionable tunes in there that have sentimental value and all, and don’t serve much musical purpose, but hey, this is my list. I know I can’t wait to listen to it. As I listen, I’m gonna delete some that I don’t feel deserve to be in there until there is only 1 song left! That song will be then be known as the “Supreme Ruler Of All Songs”. No, but really, I can’t wait to listen to this playlist. Tonight I got 9.6 hours of music to listen to.

I never mentioned that I finally got my iPod. It came Monday morning. It’s gorgeous with its shiny whiteness and its shiny silverness and its slick engraving that was free. Its name is ‘Huggybear’, after the great rapper, and it’s proudly displayed on the back. Having a new iPod photo, I could no longer just have the music, so I spent a lot of the last 2 days getting my album covers in order. I found a slick program that simplified the process and I have a cover for almost all of my albums now; well all but the obscure ones. It looks pretty sweet. I just wish the backlight didn’t kill the battery so bad or I’d leave it on all the time. With the backlight on, the screen looks simply amazing. I just can’t wait to use it more. I wanna get to the core of this iTunes/iPod sync functionality. It keeps track of how much you listen to certain songs and how you actually rate them and eventually a time portal will open up and let me go back in time. Me and my iPod are going back in time to 1980 so I can watch the Phillies win a World Series. I don’t think I’m ever going to see it any other way. This post just died.

I just took Milli Vanilli about of my MP3s and put them in my Stuff I Don’t Listen To folder. Thanks for wasting 44MB of my MP3 player for the last 2 years… Tim!

This last week has been a big one for video games. Xbox showed us their Xbox 360 last week and Sony unveiled P3 yesterday. For the past few months I’ve been saying I would get an Xbox when the new one came out. I didn’t realize it’d be out as soon as November, but I figured I could wait as long as it would take. Now I’m not sure what to do. P3 will be out in Spring ’06. I don’t think I need both of them considering how much I play video games. They look like they’re gonna be the same with features, i.e. wireless controllers and networking, HD; However P3 looks to be way more powerful. I’m thinking Sony is gonna be the way to go again. It just sucks they’re gonna be 6 months later than Microsoft. And I’m almost certainly not getting it right when it comes out; I’ll have to wait for the first price drop which’ll probably be much longer after that. Looks like I’ll be playing P2 for another 2 years. And where is Nintendo? The last 10 years hasn’t been very kind to them. I’m sure the debate between the next gen of consoles will be ongoing for a long time but I thought I’d just spark some conversation now.

I remember it vividly as if it was just yesterday. 9th grade, end of the school year, Franklin Mills Mall. It’s about noon and on comes this music video. It’s the first time any of us catch a glimpse of the Spice Girls. Yeah, it was good. We all had to sit down. To watch! Jesus people, settle down. Anyway, that was probably 8 years ago sometime this month. And now I just got done watching Spice World and I have no idea how the Spice Girls aren’t around any more. How hard is it to have other people write your songs and you just have to be extremely hot and sing them? It’s not like you can run out of being hot and singing other people’s songs. Holy crap they were hot. And looking back, there wasn’t a bad one in the bunch. I used to be partial to Victoria, but now I really wouldn’t care. I thought a picture of them would brighten up the site, but you don’t know how hard it is to find a decent picture of the Spice Girls. Pretty crappy.
