Tomorrow I leave for LA sometime around 8PM. I should be there by 1AM hopefully. I’m psyched cause I’m going to the Phillies game on Saturday. That’s about the only cool thing I can think of about going to LA though other than getting to see my father. I’m sure there’ll be a lot of other good stuff in LA, but all I picture is polution, traffic and snobby people. And Richie Valens. Good guy from what I saw in the movie about him. La Bamba. Good movie. Ooh, I should get to do a little all star voting at the game this weekend. I haven’t filled out one of those things in a long time.

I completely submersed myself in Howard Stern this weekend. I mean I got Sirius in December to listen to the radio show, but this weekend I finally bit the bullet and got Howard TV On Demand. I figured I could go to the movies for 2 hours and pay $19 or I could watch Howard TV for a whole month for $14. And watch Howard TV I did. All Friday night, all Saturday night, large chunks of Saturday and Sunday. It was great. It’s a whole nother side to the show that I miss since the show went off E! and it’s so much better at the same time because there’s no more censoring. I think I became completely desensitized to nudity this weekend alone watching so many porn stars ride the Sybian. It’s great. Best value on TV. I heard that after a while, it can get old because there’s just not enough content, but I haven’t reached that point yet and I’m gonna be hardpressed to reach it.

I’m trying to watch the 41st Annual Academy of Country Music Awards because there’s nothing on after American Idol tonight and because my mom is there since it’s at the MGM, but it’s just amazing and unfathomable how freakin terrible country music is. I just watched some Kenny Chesney performance and now I’m watching… was watching… a Gretchen Wilson performance and it just became too terrible to put up with. And they’re 2 of the biggest stars there are. It’s mind boggling. I may just have to scratch the next rap album and the rock album and make a country album because apparently you need no talent at all to write and perform country music.

He climbed within belching range of Ruth when he hit his 700th career home run in September 2004. It took him 20 months to hit those next 14, during which time baseball suspended its first major leaguer for steroid use, BALCO defendants pleaded guilty, and “Game of Shadows” was published. It took Ruth four innings to go from 713 home runs to 714. It took Bonds 13 days and 40 plate appearances to go from 713 to 714.
This could be the saddest day in sports history. Even after Aaron passed Ruth, it’s obviously still an incredible milestone to compare to the Babe in any way. It’s like reinventing a better wheel. We all knew it was going to happen because we knew Bonds wouldn’t stop until it did, but it doesn’t make it any easier to swallow. Babe… you’re still my favorite player of all time.

There’s a small article in the new Men’s Health that touches on caffeine content in drinks. They take the top caffeinated drinks in a certain class and then compare them. The results? Just as I always thought, Starbucks Doubleshots are the greatest drinks ever, and what else I also thought, Mountain Dew is wimpy. The Doubleshot has the highest mg per oz count, with nothing else even coming close. Not regular coffee, not SoBe Adrenaline Rush (which is apparently stronger than Red Bull) and certainly not Mountain Dew. Sure, a 16oz coffee has more total caffeine than any other drink and is probably the cheapest option, but I guess this explains why drinking 2 Doubleshots before studying for tests was always the best medicine. Plus that meant less bathroom breaks. Yes, the 4 ounces makes a difference when the average human bladder only needs 8-10 ounces to feel full (according to some website that I’m trusting only for this very non lifechanging post). Oh, and the Mountain Dew that is so EXTREME? Not much more caffeine than that Diet Coke with Lime that your mom drinks. Man, I could go for a Doubleshot right now. Note to self, Rap about Doubleshots in the next album and receive free Doubleshots for the rest of your life. How sweet would that be?
Porno.

I did it. I feel like crap… Fat, bloated, thirsty, full, a little hungry, just plain messed up… But I did it. I ate at back to back buffets for consecutive meals. Last night was the Rio Carnival World Buffet and then this morning was the Monte Carlo Buffet for brunch. Man they were good but my body feels like I lost a fight. Eating a lot of food makes you really thirsty. Tomorrow when I wake up I’m going to start drinking water and I’m going to drink it all day, and then I’m going to mix in a diet Sprite. Obey your thirst!

This post is probably 8 years in the making. Every time I’d think about it, I’d quickly forget about it and never get to discover the truth. It must be some sort of mine erase feature of the zipper. Yes, the zipper. Take a look at yours. I’d almost guarantee that it’s a YKK brand zipper. YKK has been slowly taking over the world starting with the conquest of our pants. Once they have our pants, who knows what they’ll do next. I think something needs to be done about this zipper monopoly. This post sucks. I don’t know what I just got myself into. It’s because I’m so bored because there’s no baseball on TV. Why the hell is there never any baseball on TV?
