It ain’t hard folks.

Alright. I’ve come to the conclusion, once again, that people are not too bright. I work in a hotel & casino, so I see a lot of them; guests that is. Hotel guests, casino guests. Both can be classified as people. They’re just not too bright. Day in and day out I come across them. You probably don’t understand because I never saw people like this til I worked here, but these are the people who… ready?… don’t know how to use an elevator. You probably still don’t get it, but yes, there are way too many people who don’t know how to use an elevator. And it’s not like elevators can only be found in hotels and casinos. They can be found in malls, office buildings, generally any place where you need to get up a lot of floors very quickly without walking up stairs. And it’s not a new invention. According to a quick Google search, elevators have been around since the mid 1800s. So back to the point. I walk up to the elevator and press the button. The button lights up and I wait. I wait. I wait. Until I hear a ding… a signal some would call it… telling me to look alive because something is gonna happen. Then a light appears… an arrow right by one of the elevators in the bank, showing which direction said elevator is going. It’s either up or down. No confusion. This isn’t Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory. Now tell me why whenever I get to the elevator bank, there are always people standing there waiting for an elevator that is obviously not coming. No lit button or anything. Or why do people let the elevator go because they don’t know which direction the arrow is pointing. Again, up or down. If you’re still confused, it should coincide with the button you pressed a couple seconds ago. That is if it ever lit up.

Gone Fishin’

Gone Fishin’ is on TV. I’m 20 minutes into it, and I don’t remember this much. Why is that? Because Gone Fishin’ is the worst movie of all time and I don’t know if I’ve ever see more than 20 minutes of it. Sure folks, I saw the movie in the theaters. Well I saw the first 19 minutes I guess in the theaters. I thought I was there longer, but now I’m not so sure. Nevermind, I did see this part. Unfortunately. I continue to watch it just hoping my $5.50 is going to spit out of the TV. Worst movie ever. Still to this day I don’t understand how Joe Pesci and Danny Glover went so wrong. I don’t know why Starz is playing this. If I was Pesci or Glover, the royalties they’re making from Starz showing this film could not be worth the embarrassment. They could play Lethal Weapon 2, 3 or 4 and still get royalties and still be respectable. And to boot, it’s on Starz HD and it’s not even in an HD feed. I don’t even know where I’m going with this, I’m just flustered I guess.

Bridget Moynahan

Bridget MoynahanI feel bad for not posting in a while so I’ll try to make up for it with a picture of Bridget Moynahan. For those of you who don’t know her, she was in films such as I,Robot, The Sum of All Fears, Serendipity and Coyote Ugly. She’s been in others, but that’s all I’ve seen her in. And I like it. There’s only one problem. I think she’s dating Tom Brady. There goes that one. You can’t steal a woman from the greatest quarterback to ever play the game of football. Especially since every woman on the planet loves him. Dammit, how can I get every woman on the planet to love me. Bullshit. What I mean to say is, I’m happy right where I’m at. Just look at the photo.

Vacation catch up.

Lets recap, shall we? I’ll try to make some long stories short, some short stories vanish and some other stories just right.

I landed in Philly at 6ish on Saturday morning the 8th and went to John’s on the way home for my first breakfast sandwich from there. It was magnificent. I wasn’t home long, just enough to clean up, and I was on my way to Penn State by way of Reading. It was raining a lot. Oh man I missed Penn State and I didn’t realize how much until I got there. We watched the game at the G-man because that would be the obvious choice since I used to practically live there. No one has a bad time at the G-man. Unless of course there are stupid whore sorostitutes taking up a table for an hour just drinking water. Franz Ferdinand is worthless. I bet the guy was better than the band. So we were watching the game and having a good time. Knocking back pitchers and eating wings. Celebrating the good times ahead. Penn State pulled out a miraculous 17-10 victory and State College erupted like I’ve never seen before. After celebrating the victory for 10 minutes, we ventured outside to see police, horses, the loop, everybody in the town on Beaver Ave. and a lot of screaming and high fiving. Fun times. After all that, we walked around campus for a while enjoying ourselves, and when I say walk around campus, I mean Tim tried to get himself arrested by going into Porter and picking fights with the RA over Levi Brown. But I can’t blame him. That douchebag RA didn’t know who Levi Brown was, let alone know that he lived behind the door we were standing in front of. So after leaving there, we went to Saturday night at the Apollo at the commons, found our way to the back and took naps while Tim talked to one of his breaking the law hunnies. That was that. Except for trecking to east and messing with B-hand while it seemed like our mother Kaitlin tried to stop us. Oh but we got the last laugh. Memories… yes sir, memories.

Fast forward to Thursday because not much happened except for me eating John’s on Tuesday and Wednesday. I got to rest, but I wish I got that rest the 2nd half of my vacation, not the first, because it meant nothing with what was to come. Thursday was Yom Kippur so my Zeida made me stay until dinner time because he bought a lot of food. Then we left and made it to Reading by 8:00 on the dot. Sorry, am I boring you? You all wanted this. I’ll press on. We spent the first half of Thursday night running errands and the 2nd half drinking, playing guitar and chasing Baxter to get my stuff out of his mouth. I said stuff, not junk.

Friday. What can I say about Friday other than Tim showed up and we went to All you can eat pasta at Olive Garden. Sweet! After lunch we went back to Taylor’s and chilled I think. I can’t recall. We could have done other stuff until the rehearsal but I don’t remember. The rehearsal was fun. It was like a wedding, but a wedding where you can make jokes throughout the whole thing. After that we went to dinner and talked for like an hour. Then Tim got all hot and sweaty and we had to leave. We went back to Taylor’s where it was just us guys and we started… to… have… a… good… time? Well after Taylor had to run more errands. Stupid wedding got in the way of everything. But then we got to drink, hang out, be merry. Tomorrow was gonna be a long day.

And it was. There was more stuff to do and what seemed like no time to do it. Between the crazy photographer, the heartbreaking Penn State game and, oh yeah, the wedding, the day sure had its ups and downs. I’ll hit the big points. A GIANT STINGING INSECT LANDED ON MY GLASSES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CEREMONY AND PROCEEDED TO BUZZ ON THERE AND THREATEN MY LIFE FOR LIKE AN HOUR!. Well it was more like 25 seconds but it was dangerous. I mean the thing was as long as my glass. Finally after Tim stopped laughing at the situation, he swatted the bug away. Then I was able to get on with the ceremony. But we’ll press on. After that it was time to focus on the game. Eh, we better not. Let’s focus on the good times had. After the good times at the reception, we went back to the hotel, said our goodbyes and tried to have a little more fun. So Tim and I go outside to throw the football a little and we’re having a good time. Until the cops chase us. Off of a street. For having a catch. Yes, it sounds absurd but it was true. So instead we just went in because I guess it was late and we had to be up early. I had a flight to catch.

In the morning it was more goodbyes and a long travel home. Reading to Philly, Philly to Atlanta. Atlanta is worthless. The people are retarded, live in slow motion and they delayed our flight from Philly 30 minutes which made us have to catch the next flight back to Vegas which was 3 hours later than our scheduled flight. But it was cool. I got to watch some football. We got back to Vegas late that night and my vacation was over. Oh wait. I didn’t have to go into work Monday. Sweet. 1 more day to take it easy. I’ll take it. But that’s about it. I forgot a lot of stuff I bet but I’m guessing the comments’ll fill in some good stuff. This post is long enough. And don’t give me any “holy crap he posted” comments. That wouldn’t be funny at this point as we’ve already had “why aren’t you posting?” posts. I just posted this post so we can all get on with our lives.

I am the champion... of the world... againSure, the banner doesn’t look as nice as it did on Monday, September 29, 2003, but the victory is just as sweet. Team ‘Can’t Buy Me A Win’ pulled through far from narowly to win the 2005 fantasy baseball crown. I’d like to thank everyone who stuck with me on my journey to winning this 2nd fantasy baseball championship, and I’d like to thank the competition for trailing me the entire 2nd half. Sure it wasn’t easy, and I didn’t think it was in the bag until the end ::wink::, but something tells me the 18 point victory margin should have tipped me off to something. I just wish I never lost that 20 point lead I had a couple months ago. That woulda been sweet. But it was almost impossible with practically all of my players going on the DL at one point or another (don’t forget Team ‘Team DL Stint’), some for great lengths, and then my pitchers deciding they didn’t want to win any games for weeks at a time. But thanks to some good planning, good decision making, no thanks to Chris for not trading me Vlad for Mora or Aramis Ramirez, but thanks to Tim for dropping Aramis Ramirez and then Jimmy Rollins when I needed him the most. Here’s to another year of fantasy baseball behind us… and to plenty more years of fantasy baseball ahead.

Boy has it been a while.

Seems like just yesterday I graduated from college. What does that have to do with today? Hockey started yesterday… that’s what!!! I originally had this post queued for Tuesday, but I forgot to submit it, so you’re getting it now. Anyway, back to my point, the last time I remember anything major about hockey is the day of my graduation. Playoff hockey is a majestic time of the year. The Flyers won that day too. It was a good day. This post is all over the place. Man I’m so happy hockey is back.

Nip/Tuck Tuesday

Holy crap this show is good. It’s unfathomable but they really know how to not disappoint and keep you coming back for more. I mean each week I think is just the same thing over and over again with just a new cliffhanger. Whatever it is, the formula is outstanding and I’m glad Season 3 is back in full swing.
