It’s mid march so you know what time it is… yep, it’s time for College Humor’s America’s Hottest College Girl ’09. So get on over there by Sunday at midnight and make your picks. Year after year, there’s nothing more exciting than watching the dreams of some girl who thought she was super hot get knocked back down to reality because she looks snobby and no one likes her. But that’s what I love about these college girls. I keep getting older, they stay the same age. For the most part. For some of those girls, it’s time to graduate and go out and get a job.

You wouldn’t believe how hard it is to find a picture of the hottest prostitute on the greatest Telenovela of all time. However, I know my audience, I know what they want and hopefully I’ve come through. My post from last April on Marjorie de Sousa is my my most popular post week after week. So, after searching high and low, I think I found a picture that’s Terententen worthy. Here’s a little Carmen Villalobos who plays Catalina on Sin Senos no hay Paraíso. It’s what I’ll be watching between the hours of 12 and 1 on most weekday afternoons and you shouldn’t judge me until you’ve watched a show that, according to Wikipedia, is about “an attractive young prostitute who desires to have massive breast implants in order to attract a rich cocaine smuggler”. Every time I tell people that, they think I’m making it up however I couldn’t come up with a plot that fantastic. I mean who has the balls to put that show on TV? My hero, that’s who. And it’s not just Catalina traipsing around in skimpy outfits, it’s about a few more main prostitutes walking around in next to nothing at almost all times. I don’t really know what’s going on half the time but with this show, you really don’t need to know. You just need to sit back and enjoy the ride. So click on the picture, like I said it was hard to find so it only gets a little bigger. Regardless, enjoy the weekend.

Let me tell you what I’m not going to do. Go to the Harrah’s Carnival Court and “Rock the World”? Holy crap, you guessed it. First try too. I’m not even mad, that’s amazing. Unfortunately I am not “ready to rock” nor will I ever be. So why may I ask did my Rock Bandmates sign our band up for a Rock Band competition that would be played in an outdoor venue on the Las Vegas strip? Sounds pretty insane to me considering I can’t even play guitar in front of a couple of lifelong friends without the shakes. Yeah, that $10,000 grand prize, split 4 ways of course, just isn’t enough. It makes me wonder that if $2500 isn’t enough to get me up and singing in front of hundreds of people, what price could I actually place on my stage fright? Regardless, it’d probably be a really high number. Just thinking about it gets me shaking again. I’m not sure there’s enough beer in the world.
This whole situation does make me miss playing Rock Band every weekend though. Those were good times and it’s been months since I last played. Playing real guitar is way more productive though and now that I started playing real guitar with other people, I don’t see a real reason to play Rock Band anymore. What a dilemma I’ve got on my hands. Rock Band Beatles comes out 09-09-09 and I’m not even sure I want that now. Oh well, time to play some guitar. Need to get that Tequila Sunrise solo memorized. These things don’t play themselves you know.

Wow, first movie review in over a year but this movie’s worth it. Saw Watchmen this afternoon and it certainly lived up to all the Internet hype of the last year or so. It wasn’t your typical Hollywood superhero movie, in fact it was really nothing like any superhero movie I’ve ever seen. Dark and beautifully directed, it turned into a stellar all around movie. The story was amazing and had me hooked for all 2 hours and 45 minutes. It was a perfect length as I think they covered everything that needed to be covered. There were quite a few characters and they were all so deep and compelling you couldn’t help but to be drawn into this alternate reality where superheros just might not be so super after all. Who knew a superhero’s only problems weren’t just some girl troubles and a few bank robberies?
My only problems with this story were that I think the writers may have been a little stereotypical. I mean what would a comic book fan want more than some superheroes? How about some unnecessary graphic sex scenes with multiple O faces. Yeah, that’ll be cool, let’s do it. Boobies, boobies! Look, I love nudity perhaps more than the next guy but I found out today that I don’t like it in my movies where nudity probably shouldn’t be. Nothing signals my brain to stop thinking about how we’re gonna save the world like showing some pretty graphic sex scenes with a really, really hot Malin Akerman. That was #2. #1? If I don’t want to look at hot naked chicks in a movie, I really don’t want to see penis every other scene. Or ever. Doctor Manhattan, you’ve seen pants. I saw you wearing them when you had your suit on. Try keeping them on. I mean a loin cloth would suffice. Hell, a damn leaf. Just cover that thing up. And I don’t want to hear anyone try to justify it because he’s Doctor Manhattan and he’s above wearing pants or try to philosophy it or something. Look… if there was ever a time to make an exception in a movie, that was the time.
Hmm, looks like the “dislike” paragraph is longer than the “like” paragraph but that’s not how I really feel. I just can’t joke about the things I liked in the movie and penis jokes are always funny. I really, really liked this movie. Just know that it’s not Spiderman (I wish the people sitting behind me knew that) and it probably should be NC-17 (way too many kids going to see this film). There was a time when it sounded like this movie wasn’t gonna come out and it would have been a terrible shame if no one could see it. Can’t wait to watch it again. Hell, I may even have to find out how to get my hands on the comics.

We all know that last Friday was a painful day for Philadelphia sports fans. The Eagles let Brian Dawkins walk after 13 years of unforgettable service. It was a tough situation and I have no hard feelings towards either side. The Eagles shouldn’t have invested as much money in an aging safety as the Broncos were willing to invest and Brian Dawkins couldn’t pass up that kind of pay day when he did so much to earn it. Still, the situation sucks and that’s the way the sports world goes. No player lasts forever, not even our friendly neighborhood superheroes. It’s pretty amazing that he managed to wear green for as long as he did. My question now is, even though Dawkins is no longer wearing green, can I still wear my Dawkins jersey during football events?

So the Cowboys released Terrell Owens last night. This is some exciting and hilarious news that’s sure to completely shake up the NFL. Deep down though I don’t know what to think of this whole situation. How is it going to play out for the Eagles? Are the Cowboys now a better team or a worse team without TO? Can losing one of the top 5 receivers in the league actually make Tony Romo a better quarterback, will he still be a bum or will he look even worse? Playing against TO was always a double edged sword. On the weeks when he shows up, he really shows up and it’s game over for his opposition. On weeks when he self destructs it’s almost a guaranteed W for the other team. Again, same thing for Tony Romo.
I liked knowing for the most part they were going to suck each week but I still never liked the thought of facing them. It’s definitely the uncertainty that we don’t know what kind of Cowboys team we’re going to face next year. And I just had a heart attack because now I get to wonder what the Cowboys have in mind. They can’t just drop their best WR without a backup plan and now they’re in the market for what the Eagles are always in the market for… a WR. And unlike the Eagles, they’re the team that will actually make the move. Could Anquan Boldin be in their future? That would be devastating.
On a lighter note, the non Eagles related part to this story… What’s Terrell Owens going to do now? You know for a fact that someone will take a chance on him. He’s too good to not play football somewhere however who’s going to take a chance on him after he destroyed 3 really good franchises? I highly doubt any good team would risk it but there are tons of bottom feeders that will get a steal now. They’ll sell jerseys, seats in the stands and they’ll get a WR who’s going to produce. When the Eagles took him after San Fran he only had 1 strike on him. Now it’s 3 strikes and he’s out. Rob mentioned the Patriots. Just think about that one.
UPDATE – It has been brought to my attention that the Cowboys won’t have any cap room for any move regarding Boldin or probably any other good WR so we can all rejoice.

I am freaking exhausted. We just got home about 2 hours ago from today’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. We left the house around 9AM this morning so it was a pretty long day. It took about 2 hours to get to the track which wasn’t a blast but once we got there it was all uphill from there. I have to say, even not being a race fan, it was really awesome. I have enjoyed watching a few races on TV here and there but never thought I’d ever go to a race. However when Kristin got a few really good free tickets, who was I to pass it up? I mean how bad could it be? Well it wasn’t bad at all.
It’s definitely a sensory explosion being at a race. I mean of course there’s the obviousness of watching the cars fly by and you can kind of imagine how loud the engines sound when 43 of em explode out of a turn within 15 seconds of one another but you don’t think too much about the smell of burning rubber and smoke as someone wrecks and you really don’t think about the actual taste of burning rubber and tar? when you’re getting pelted with black stuff that likes to stick to the sun-tan lotion on your face and somehow get in your teeth when you’re trying to take a drink of water. That can’t be healthy but hey, I like to think I trained my lungs last night when I was smoking that cigar.
Re-gard-less, the show started with the flying Elvii, moved on to the USAF Thunderbirds, which I had not seen before and were awesome, and then moved on to the race which had tons of cautions, albeit nothing major at our turn. The crowd was huge, something like 150,000 people, had some awesome mullets, some insane sun burn and really loved their Bud Light. Especially that Jeff Gordon fan 3 rows in front of us. He really loved the Bud Light and Jeff Gordon.
I really don’t have a favorite driver and for some reason I was pushing for different people throughout the race however never for Jeff Gordon. That guy was incredible though. He wrecked, dropped way back, and then somehow got right back into the top 5 somehow. And he did it fast. I still don’t know how he did it. I was also pushing for Jeff Burton while he was in first since we were surrounded by probably 100 CAT people and Jimmie Johnson to climb out of his huge hole until he crashed at the end. Kyle Busch ended up winning the race on his home turf which I guess was the best outcome. If I was gonna root for anyone it probably should have been one of the Busch brothers. Oh well, I’m going to bed. I gotta work tomorrow. That sucks.
