SAN JOSE, CA - MARCH 18: Center A.J. Ogilvy #4 of the Vanderbilt Commodores reacts after being defeated by the Murray State Racers 66-65 in the first round of the 2010 NCAA menâ¬"s basketball tournament at HP Pavilion on March 18, 2010 in San Jose, California. (Photo by Jed Jacobsohn/Getty Images)Thank you Murray State out of Murray (which is obviously only a city), Kentucky. You boys did good. We had #13 Murray State over #4 Vanderbilt, #2 Kansas State -16 over #15 North Texas and #10 Saint Mary’s over #7 Richmond. At times, all nail biters, however check and mate. Our morning card was blown when we so foolishly though slumping #2 Nova could cover 17 points against #15 Robert Morris. That was an epic fail. They barely won let alone cover. It’s a shame too because the other 3 teams, BYU -5, Baylor and Kansas State -16 all came through. However it was all forgotten once Danero Thomas sank a 15-foot shot as time expired to give the Racers what may be the upset of the tournament. What a crazy finish. It’s why they play the games. It’s why we watch. It’s March Madness. I love money. This is only day 1. Here’s to loads more excitement.

On a side note, I could have put a picture of Danero Thomas up on the site but I chose to go with Vandy’s A.J. Ogilvy lying devastated on the floor after his defeat. I didn’t like the cut of his jib. He was trying to lose me money. That’s some bad jib.

  1. If only Texas remembered how to put the ball into the hoop and New Mexico would have driven to the hoop instead of settling for bad 3s we would be up huge.

  2. Yeah. It got exciting there at the end. I thought they were both going to pull it off. I never rooted for a guy to miss a free throw as I did for that Texas guy at the end of regulation. I thought we were set in OT when Texas went up big. Then I looked over and New Mexico’s lead went from like 11 to 5. Then it all went to hell. If we didn’t win money, I’m glad Texas lost. They suck.
