Oh yeah, I haven’t posted much lately because life has been pretty stressful over the last couple of months. Planet Hollywood was bought out by Harrahs and all hell has broken loose. We’ve made major changes around the property, there are way more new faces than old and it’s been mighty depressing. With that said, I’m officially starting a new job in 2 weeks. I have unofficially started doing said job over the last few weeks. It’s not the most ideal situation but it is what it is. I’m still at PH for now but I don’t know many details yet. Life has been pretty much on hold since January and hopefully I can get back to a bit of normalcy in just 2 weeks time. Get busy living or get busy dying. Life’s full of unexpected changes. Just gotta try to roll with them. Rollin with the homies. Stop that you.

Oh yeah, now that the 2010 NFL Draft is over, I just wanted to thank Roger Goodell again for completely ruining it. I was able to watch Round 1 because I flew out of work and raced to Buffalo Wild Wings but I never had a chance with Rounds 2 and 3 since they were so kindly put on at 3PM on the west coast. Yes Goodell, people who have jobs typically can’t watch a broadcast that starts at 3PM. Then you take Rounds 4 through 7 and put them on at 7AM on a Saturday. You are just a freakin genius. Way to completely hate on people who have jobs and people on the west coast in general. They’re probably not a huge chunk of your fan base anyway. Don’t worry… You’re from New York so you don’t care about people on the west coast. Go to hell.

When life gives you lemons, do you:
- Make lemonade?
- Throw the lemons back saying I don’t need no stinking sour lemons, I’m gonna try to make sweet, sweet wine? or
- Make lemonade AND make wine even though there just may not be enough time in the day?

Don’t forget to get on over to College Humor’s America’s Hottest College Girl ’10 competition. Voting starts today on the brackets you may, or may not, have set up a couple weeks ago. March Madness is over but this madness is just beginning.

Oh yeah… don’t forget about this one. Roy Halladay takes the mound tomorrow as the Phillies start their season, and their quest to reclaim their throne, against the Nationals down in Washington. President Barack Obama is throwing out the first pitch but the pitching I’m most waiting for can only come from one man. The Man. The Doc’s going to be insanely exciting to watch in action this year. The Phillies in general should be. We now get full season of an AL Cy Young winner, one of the top 5 pitchers in the league, to go along with our potent AL lineup. If Halladay doesn’t become the first Philadelphia 20 game winner since Lefty in 1982 it will be a huge shock. With that said, you sure are correct SI… Sorry National League… This might hurt.

Holy crap this is tough. I sit down in front of the TV to watch the first baseball game of the year and eat myself some Easter dinner and flashing before my eyes is the news break to end all news breaks. Donovan McNabb has been traded to the Washington Redskins. For a 2nd round pick in this year’s 2010 NFL draft and a 3rd or 4th round pick in next year’s draft. What a bitter pill to take with a delicious dinner.
On one hand it almost had to happen. McNabb’s time to win a Superbowl in green appeared to be over. We had our chances and always fell short. On the other hand, he may be the greatest QB I’m ever going to see in an Eagles jersey. From the Scramble to 4th and 26 we have our memories. People either loved him or hated him. I certainly was a member of the Donovan McNabb fan club. In Donovan I always trusted. Sure we had our ups and downs like any relationship but I always had faith in Donovan leading our team to a W. I hope the people in Washington treat him better than some of the jerk-offs in Philadelphia have over the years.
It’s now a new era in Philadelphia Eagles football. Kevin Kolb is the man and we’ll live and die with him. I honestly don’t think offense is going to be our main problem this year. Kolb may not be Donovan but he’ll play well enough to win us football games as long as the play calling and defense doesn’t suck. That’s where we need to improve at this point.
I’ve watched many players suit up in Eagles, Flyers, Phillies and Sixers jerseys and, even without winning a championship, I can say without a doubt that Donovan has been more a part of Philadelphia than any player in my 20 some odd years of watching sports. We’re losing part of our family. It’s a tough thing to say but I wish Donovan all the best as long as he’s not playing the Eagles. I never really hated the Skins anyway. I am worried that they always played us tough without a QB so now I’m pretty scared of facing them twice a year with a QB and a coach who both know how to win football games. This could bite us in the ass big time. Andy may not be a good in-game football coach but he is a good personnel guy. I just hope he knows what he’s doing this time.

So tomorrow begins a new day. Another chapter in the rest of my life. When Planet Hollywood was bought out a few months ago, we knew change was coming however as much as you try to predict things, it’s almost impossible to do so.
On Friday I packed up most of my belongings at work as I will not be primarily at PH any more. I’m sure I’ll still be there on occasion but it will not be my “primary residence”. I’m looking at it as I have left my job with Planet Hollywood and moved on to a new job with Harrah’s. Nothing will be the same and I still have absolutely no idea how things will pan out. All I do know is I have never been good at dealing with change and these next few weeks/months not be easy. Wish me luck. I really am going to try to go into this with a good attitude.

Even though I perform regular backups of my system, I’m betting you don’t. Start using Dropbox to back up your stuff. Keep it all in the cloud. Get to it from anywhere. That’s what makes it even cooler. There’s even an iPhone app that lets you access your stuff. Have a picture on your computer? Get to it from your iPhone. Take a picture on your iPhone? It’s now instantly on your computer… even if you’re not. You can even set up file sharing to your friends on your Dropbox so they can get to your stuff. No more YouSendIt. Just drag your files into your shared Dropbox and your stuff is shared to whomever you want. I think. I can’t test it unless you guys sign up. So get on over to Dropbox using these links and sign up. Not only will you get your own Dropbox account but you’ll get me some more Dropbox space for the referral. Everybody wins. Sanx!
