Terententen Now On Tumblr

Just to give you all a heads up, I’ve recently begun using Tumblr in addition to plain old Terententen.com. I fought myself against using it for a while but I realized it may make a nifty companion to the site. Back in the hey day of Terententen, when I posted a lot more, a lot of that stuff was short and sweet. A lot of it was nonsense. Over time I started getting tired of how much work it took to post those simple remarks and pictures. I always felt the system should be easier. When I went to WordPress it did all get a lot easier however it still felt like a chore. Now I think I have finally found a system where I can post meaningful content here on Terententen.com when the need arises as well as post quick and easy stuff over at the Tumblr site. Maybe this is just the beginning of the end for Terententen.com or maybe the two really can coexist. Only time will tell. So keep an eye on both while I completely figure out how I’m gonna handle all this.

WordPress iPhone App

WordPress even has a nifty iPhone app for mobile publishing. Don’t know if I’ll use it much because a phone isn’t too great for writing but it’s comforting to know it’s there.

Terententen on WordPress

Bar RefaeliWelcome to the new Terententen on WordPress. 4 years ago I thought about it. I actually installed WordPress, exported and imported all of my Blogger posts and designed the site. Then after a few weeks of deliberation, I decided it wasn’t right and just kept on going the way things were. I regret that decision now more than ever. Fortunately now I also realize that none of it really matters. So you’re going to lose all of the old comments. I’ll still have them if we ever need anything to hold up in court. And now commenting will be so much better; I’ll never lose them again, I can keep track of them easier and now those stupid bots will have a hell of a lot harder time spamming our old posts with impotency medications.

Welcome to 2005… err 2010. You may have noticed that the site is pretty awesome now. It has everything I’ve wanted to put on it for quite some time. Live Twitter updates, picture updates, all kinds of social media updates and it’s all way easier to implement. So now if I’m not posting anything, you’ll still have stuff to catch up on while you’re here. However, I do think I’ll be posting more now. Something tells me it’s going to be a whole hell of a lot easier to post stuff on WordPress. It’ll all take some getting used to though. Everything will. Bear with me; I’ll probably be making small changes around here for a while. I just hope you guys enjoy everything and start coming back a little more. I welcome you, WordPress welcomes you and Bar Refaeli would probably welcome you if she gave any crap at all about you. Just remember. Terententen cares.

Hello world!

Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start blogging!

Be Strong Terententen

The site may be down for a little while. Like I said a couple weeks ago, Blogger’s changing the way their service works and I’m going to start messing around with it tonight. You may not even get to read this post. Regardless, I’m gonna try to get this working, hopefully by the end of the weekend. Wish me luck. You stay strong Terententen.com and you stay classy San Diego… Las Vegas… readers.

Death of old comments

Would it be the end of the world if Terententen lost all of it’s old comments? Thanks to some major upcoming Blogger changes and the way they’re deprecating FTP, Terententen has a lot of adjusting to do. Maybe some for the better, probably a lot for the worse. I won’t know everything for a couple of weeks but I’m guessing there’s a 100% chance I’m going to lose all of our old comments. I’m kind of devastated. Years ago I thought about changing blogging platforms but didn’t because I didn’t want to lose the comments. Now I’m being forced to make a change and it’s gonna cost me even more years of comments. Thank goodness I didn’t post a lot in the last few years and got even fewer comments from my loyal readers. Ha! Who’s the sucker now Blogger? Regardless, spare me the “You should have changed platforms years ago.” comments. Are we going to be alright with no old comments?

Terententen Web Hosting

Just renewed Terententen.com‘s web hosting for 1 more year so you’ll all have to just keep checking the site to find out I still haven’t posted anything for a-whole-nother year. We all know our days would feel a little bit emptier without our daily Terententen.com frustration check. Have nice day.

Terententen’s All Growned Up

Man, I spent some time today looking through my archives and I can definitely sense a change in my attitude towards a lot of things since then. Maybe I’ve matured or maybe I’ve just been beaten down by life over the last 5 years but I said some things back then that were just jaw dropping…ly hilarious. I would never post stuff like that now though; I’m apparently nowhere near as bold as I once was. I may also know that some things are just better left unsaid. But boy, oh, boy this page used to be awesome. I mean things were just brutal. People like brutal honestly… at least I know my readers do but… wait a minute, I feel like I’m getting off track because maybe myself and some others were cracking up pretty good this afternoon reading those posts. But at whose expense? What I’m trying to say is that this site is over 6 years old, there’s a lot written in these pages and things that were said years ago may not be things that I personally agree with now no matter how humorous they still may be. So I’m just gonna remind you all that you need to take everything you see on Terententen with a grain of salt. I’m an entertainer people. That’s what I do. Ta da!

Terententen.com turns 4.

Terententen.com turns 4 on December 8th and it looks like it will survive ’til 5. I just renewed the domain for another year. I guess you gotta put up with hoping I post more for at least another year. Suckers.
